- High rentsThe ocean view and beach areas are selling as fast as they can get listed. The inventory is really low, just like the interest rates. Cash buyers refinance in 6 ms. to the amazing 2.6 % interest loans. Out of the country investors are here buying properties. I can show them the graphs and give them a full picture of the values of properties and the rental prices. Rents are HIGH and there are not enough of those either. Prices are still stable and at rates nearly back to just before the mortgage crash. The beach areas held on to the values.
There is one more factor. The new laws that are possibly coming next year will affect the Wealthy homeowners. They may lose the tax deductions on these multiple homes. With that in mind some owners are selling now rather than wait to see what the Government will do now that they need more money. If they don’t raise taxes then they can alter the tax benifit to homesellers.
Some say this will hurt the real estate recovery. So far this threat is getting homes out on the market that were previously leased.
